Members have many options for participating in the Board of Trade’s work.
The Board of Trade’s programs execute our strategy to driving inclusive economic growth and livability using technology and innovation. Members shape our work by guiding strategic decisions and proposing projects based on their insights and capabilities.
Smart Region Advisory Group
The Smart Region Advisory Group includes nearly 100 Board of Trade members and is exploring how smart city concepts can boost inclusive economic growth and livability.
Government Relations Task Force
The Government Relations Task Force also seeks opportunities to increase inclusive economic growth and livability, but it looks at the region’s challenges through a legislative lens.
The task forces described above were asked to identify issues most in need of innovative solutions. By the close of 2018, we will form ten “solution groups” made up of members to address the following topics:
- Energy & Resources
- Global Best Practices
- Housing & Urban Design
- Social Engagement
- Technology & Innovation
- Health & Wellness
- Workforce & Education
Each group will be led by co-chairs, meet throughout the year, and think comprehensively about how smarter public policy, technology, business actions, and social practices can lead to positive change.
While our solution groups gear up, several projects will explore early promising ideas. The following pilot projects will be launched by the end of 2018:
- Smart Healthcare for Veterans
- Closing the Digital Divide
- Increasing Food Security
