2023 Capital Region Transportation Forum
Each year, we bring together top transportation leaders from DC, Maryland, and Virginia to discuss key opportunities and challenges facing our regional transportation system. Come learn more about the financial challenges facing WMATA, new transportation patterns in a post-pandemic world, and updates on major projects central to alleviating congestion. And this year, we are excited to have the panel moderated by award-winning journalist and WUSA9 Anchor Lesli Foster.
Panelists:
Sharon Kershbaum, Interim Director, District Department of Transportation (DDOT), Paul Wiedefeld, Secretary of the Maryland Department of Transportation, W. Shep Miller III, Secretary of Transportation, Commonwealth of Virginia.
There will also be a presentation with Dr. Cinzia Cirillo, Professor, University of Maryland, Maryland Transportation Institute, who will break down regional transportation issues impacting the Greater Washington region.
In addition to a panel discussion, hear from Randy Clarke, General Manager & CEO of Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), on the state of our Metro system. Reserve your spot today!
Audience:
Open to the public. Great for transportation experts, public officials, the Greater Washington business community, and people and businesses that have a vital interest in our region optimizing its transportation means.
