Regional Policy Leadership Series – Police Chiefs

Description:  

The Regional Policy Leadership Series brings together the Greater Washington region’s elected leaders to have a conversations on regional policies, priorities, and issues impacting the local business community.   

Join us on May 23 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm as the Board of Trade welcomes regional police chiefs from the Prince George’s County Police Department, Metropolitan Police Department, and Fairfax County Police Department for a conversation on public safety policies, priorities, and issues impacting the local business community.

Regional Chambers of Commerce Dinner

Chambers of Commerce play an important role in banding the region together by supporting businesses and helping make it a great place to live and prosper. We believe that fostering meaningful regional collaboration will unleash innovation, grow investments, and attract talent. 

The Board of Trade will gather chamber executives and their board chairs from across the region to discuss best practices, challenges, and ways to enhance regional cooperation.  These meetings will be co-led by Kate Bates, Arlington Chamber of Commerce, Allie Williams, Greater Bethesda Chamber of Commerce, and Tony Howard, Loudon County Chamber of Commerce.

2023 Annual Meeting presented by Kaiser Permanente

We’re looking forward to recognizing 2023 milestones and discussing goals for 2024 at MGM National Harbor on December 12 for the 134th Annual Meeting, presented by Kaiser Permanente. Don’t miss out on this must-attend member event with industry leaders and valuable networking opportunities!

Additionally, we are excited to host a unique keynote address this year. Deborah Rutter, President of the Kennedy Center, will share how arts and culture can drive social and policy reform. Following Deborah’s opening, enjoy an immersive performance from the national touring play, The Smiles Behind; a part of Enough! Plays to End Gun Violence.

To conclude, the newly appointed Chief of the Metropolitan Police Department, Chief Pamela Smith, will sit down with Deborah and playwright Niarra C. Bell for a conversation facilitated by Board of Trade Presidnet & CEO Jack McDougle.
